Mona Rahmani was senior research specialist at the Mossavar-Rahmani Center [no relation] during its inaugural years, from 2014-2017. During that time, she managed programs, projects and events and supported research. This included serving as program director of the first biannual Iran Graduate Student Workshop with NYU and Penn and as co-director of the Translation Fund. Her work experience includes the World Bank, service as a Princeton-in-Asia Fellow in Penang at Universiti Sains Malaysia and work with international non-profit FHI360. She also volunteered with Action for Education for Vial Refugee Camp on Chios Island, Greece. She currently works in international data strategy at Dow Jones and as an ongoing consultant for the Economist Intelligence Unit. Her academic degrees include an individualized M.St. in Modern Political Thought & Theory from the University of Oxford, St. Antony’s College, Faculty of Oriental Studies; an M.H.S. in International Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health with a Certificate in Humanitarian Assistance; and a B.A. in International Relations from Boston University.
