Spring Semester Wrap Up

May 23, 2024

Reflecting on the spring semester now behind us, the Mossavar-Rahmani Center hosted and co-sponsored a total of thirteen seminars and held six unique events. Highlights include a concert performed by prominent artists Layla Ramezan and Pejman Hadadi and a book launch for Associate Research Scholar Beeta Baghoolizadeh’s first book titled The Color Black: Enslavement and Erasure in Iran.

We collaborated with the Iranian Students Association to put together an energetic Nowruz celebration and welcomed a wide array of scholars from various institutions around the world. It was a busy, yet fruitful, semester. To view a full list of our spring seminars and access recordings of the talks, please see our Events Archive page.

The Center will continue to highlight music and the modern Persianate world with concerts, book launches, and celebrations. We are excited to once again cultivate and showcase the vast world of Iran and Persian Gulf studies in the 2024-2025 academic year.

We look forward to seeing you in the fall!
