Abstract
One of the most influential scholars of social history and historical sociology of modern Iran, Dr. Ahmad Ashraf has left an inimitable mark on the field of Iranian studies. For more than half-a-century, Dr. Ashraf has produced a body of work that will remain at the center of conversations about the emergence of capitalism, rural transformation, state-building, class formation, and culture in Iran.
Join us in this celebration and the dedication of the special issue of Iran Nāmag, edited and presented by Prof. Mohamad Tavakoli-Targhi, honoring Ahmad Asharf’s work.
